AWNY Book Club ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’ DATE CHANGE: Now July 8

AWNY has started a book club and the first meeting was a resounding success. Come along to our second meeting on Monday July 8 at The Liberty NYC.

The current literary series is themed “America Through Fiction” and the aim of the series is to explore America and its diversity of voices.

This time we will be discussing the US, post-911 from a Muslim perspective with Mohsin Hamid‘s The Reluctant Fundamentalist. Described as “mesmerizing” by The Guardian, Mohsin Hamid’s second novel is a New York Times bestseller and major motion picture.

Join us for a glass or wine or cup of tea and a friendly chat to connect with other women to learn more about the amazingly complex country we find ourselves in.

This event is open to all women: members and non-members welcome.

Book: The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mohsin Hamid. Please ensure you’ve read the book prior to the meeting.
Date: Monday, July 8th, 2019
Time: 6 – 9pm
Location: The Liberty NYC, 29 W 35th Street, New York. We have reserved the front lounge.
