Australian Women in New York is made possible thanks to our team of volunteers. We are a dynamic group of Aussie women who donate their time and skills to create vibrant events and resources for our community.

President

Our dedicated President provides leadership and direction to our team of volunteers, enabling AWNY to best meet the needs of our community members.

Communications

Our communications gurus keep everything humming, from this fabulous website, through to our social media channels, as well as our newsletter (psst – sign up here).

Events

The events team create our jam-packed calendar of events throughout the year, from casual networking drinks, through to panel discussions with impressive speakers.

Community

Our friendly Community team focuses on fostering connection and engagement with and within our community through get-togethers such as Emotional Transitions support sessions, in-person Coffee Strolls and virtual Chinwag events, and community initiatives such as the “I ❤️ NY Stories”: An AWNY Photo Essay.

Mums & Dads

Parenting in New York City throws up a new adventure every day. Our Mums & Dads volunteers offer a raft of welcoming activities such as coffee catch ups, parents’ nights out and family picnics in the park, as well some really helpful advice.

Philanthropy

Each year, AWNY supports charitable initiatives with fundraising and volunteering. In the past, our Philanthropy volunteers have partnered with The Dwelling Place on a range of activities.
