Good Girl review

By Peta Arthurson
The Good Girl is an entertaining, laugh-out-loud play that has you feeling the full range of relationship emotions. From being in a new relationship where you don’t know if you are keen on the guy, to questioning if he will be good in bed, to the realization of love and the feeling of it’s you against the world.
59E59 Theatre is an intimate space that is perfect for this production, as you are carried along the journey with these actors. Australian playwright, Emilie Collyer’s The Good Girl, transcends Aussie and American audiences. Stellar performances by Leah Gabriel, who plays Anjali, a Sexbots’s Madam is somehow relatable to every woman. Giacomo Baessato is perfect as Ven, the Sexbot maintenance guy who longs for a real woman, and her cooking!
AWNY women were on hand to support the opening night of this play and were lucky to meet and spend time with Emilie prior to the show. We laughed, we felt the emotion and the pain, and we were with you in the journey from start to finish.
The Good Girl runs from now until Feb 28 –  http://www.59e59.org/moreinfo.php?showid=233
