The Australian Consulate-General’s Emerging Artist Prize celebrated two talented Australian ex-pat artists – AWNY’s very own Zoe Wetherall, and South-Eastern Victoria native Laura Dortmans – in two dynamic exhibits that explore the beauty and simplicity of nature in its various forms.
Tanu Vasu is an illustrator and fashion designer behind the popular @nyccurated Instagram account. Her illustrations of New York chronicle life through a whimsical color palette and celebrate the sophistication of the city that never sleeps. And she’s from Sydney! Kristin McIver is an Australian artist based in New York working in sculpture, painting, sound, video and installation. She also runs KRS Creative, an agency making websites and crafting digital marketing campaigns for very cool clients.
