Next month, AWNY is hosting it’s own event for New York Tech Week and we hope you will join us!
Taking place on Friday, June 5th, the event will be a thoughtfully curated morning, with three sessions designed to connect, energize, and spotlight Australian women shaping the future of tech in the United States. Refreshments will be provided from 9am and in between each session.

9:15AM – 10AM Sanctum Movement Experience
The event will open with a powerful reset: a Sanctum movement experience led by founder Luuk Melisse. Blending music, strength, and mindfulness, the immersive session sets the tone for the day, with the opportunity to trial a new form of health tech, first hand.
10:15AM – 11AM Panel: Launching Aussie Tech in the United States
From there, the program shifts into conversation. The first panel, Launching Aussie Tech in the United States, brings together founders and operators who have successfully navigated the leap across markets. Speakers will share candid insights into the realities of entering the United States, from adapting go-to-market strategies to understanding cultural nuances, fundraising differences, and the importance of building early networks.
11:15AM – 12PM Panel: Aussie Women in Tech – The Long Game
The second panel, Aussie Women in Tech — The Long Game, offers a deeper perspective on sustaining and growing a career in the United States tech ecosystem. Featuring women who have spent several years building their presence, the discussion explores resilience, reinvention, leadership, and navigating bias and will deliver an honest look beyond the highlight reel.
Together, the sessions capture the spirit of AWNY: community-driven, forward-looking, and committed to elevating Australian women as they build, lead, and thrive in tech.
