AWNY Book Club ‘Song of Solomon’, Oct 9

AWNY has started a book club and our meetings have been a smashing success. Come along to our next meeting on Wednesday Oct 9 at The Liberty NYC.

The current literary series is themed “America Through Fiction” and the aim of the series is to explore America and its diversity of voices.

This time his time we will be discussing the US with Toni Morrison’s Song of Solomon. The Guardian describes Toni Morrison as a “Nobel laureate in literature whose best-selling work explored black identity in America — and in particular the often crushing experience of black women — through luminous, incantatory prose resembling that of no other writer in English.” Morrison died last month. She was 88. Join us to delve deeper into understanding this country we live in.

Come along for a glass of wine or cup of tea and a friendly chat to connect with other women to learn more about the amazingly complex country we find ourselves in. This event is open to all women: members and non-members welcome.
