Drinks With AWNY & Farewell to Jacinta Stewart, June 11

The unofficial start to summer is here! Kick off the season with our friendly community of Australian and New Zealand women in New York.

Join AWNY for drinks at perennial favorite, The Australian Bar & Restaurant. Our social mixers are a great way to connect with a vibrant group of Aussies and friends and this will also be a farewell party for long-time AWNY committee member, Jacinta Stewart.

Jacinta is an Australian artist from Brisbane, who has been based in New York since the early noughties. Her stunning works have been displayed throughout exhibitions and public spaces across New York. Jacinta has been a loyal supporter of The Dwelling Place of NY, regularly donating a portion of her profits, leading monthly art nights for the residents of the Dwelling Place, volunteering for the annual Fall Gala fundraiser and donating her works for charity auctions.

We wish Jacinta all the best as she returns home to Australia to care for her Mum. She will be greatly missed by her many friends at AWNY.

This event is open to all – men and women, members and non-members welcome. Bring a friend or two.

About The Australian NYC

The Australian NYC Bar and Restaurant located in midtown Manhattan is a great place to relax with a few drinks after work. Their friendly staff will make you feel right at home! Their menu includes Aussie Classics, which are perfect if you’re feeling homesick, and of course there are lamingtons and Tim Tams on the dessert menu.

For sports fans, there are twenty-two large TV’s so you can catch every sport an expat would want, including Aussie rules, rugby, cricket and soccer as well as the US professional and college sports.
