In April, AWNY’s coffee strolls ventured across the Hudson to Aussie restaurant, Frankie in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Jersey City is only a 10 minute PATH train ride or 5 minute ferry ride from the World Trade Center and is often described as New York City’s “sixth borough”.
Six of us came together on a chilly Sunday morning for a hot drink and a chat at Frankie before strolling down to Exchange Place (also accessible from the PATH) where we walked along the waterfront taking in the magnificent views of the lower part of Manhattan as well as Battery Park and the tip of Brooklyn.
Four of the six ladies live in Jersey City and two traveled across the Hudson River to join us. It was lovely to see new and old faces and show off some of what Jersey City has to offer.
As the weather continue’s to warm up we look forward to exploring different areas of the city and its surroundings and of course, meeting new members and welcoming old ones to explore with us.
