Summer Camps in NYC and Surrounding Areas

The summer camp concept is quite new to a lot of Australian families and understanding the options available to children in NYC and surrounding areas can be a lot to comprehend. The summer can be a juggle for everyone so hopefully the information below can help the kids get out and about and have a great time!

If you’re looking for a summer camp in 2023, here are a few options for you:

Super Soccer Stars: In-Person Only

Many NYC locations including: Upper East Side, Upper West Side, West Village, and Cadman Plaza

In-Person Soccer and Multisport Day Camps June until Labor Day.

  • Sign up for a week at a time at approx $350-400 per week or ~$75 per day
  • Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM

Steve and Kate’s Camp: In-Person and Online Options

Five NYC locations: Cobble Hill, East Village, West Village, Upper East Side, and Upper West Side plus two in New Jersey (Hoboken and Montclair)

At Steve and Kate’s, kids take chances and take charge, shaping their day, their way. They can choose from activities such as sewing, coding, performance, crafting, sports and more.

In-Person Day-Camp:

  • Day pass $128 or a summer pass with ~43 days coverage is $3,840
  • Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-6:00 PM

Taste Buds Kitchen: In-Person and Online Options

In-Person Cooking Day Camp – 5 day and 1 day choices available

  • Sign up for a week at a time prices vary by class
  • Ages 4-17
  • Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-4.30pm. Times vary by class

The Fashion Class Manhattan: In-Person

Highly sought after camps (the weekly camps have already sold out!) but there are spots available for day sessions. See link for pricing information and dates.

PLAYDAY: In-Person

Five locations: Cobble Hill, Hoboken, Long Island City, Park Slope, Upper West Side

PLAYDAY provides indoor and outdoor creative activities for children with a focus on art. 

In-Person Summer Camp offered from June 28th to September 27th:

Chelsea Piers Field House: In-Person Only

The Field House offers a variety of camp options including gymnastics, ninja & parkour, and multisports. They offer day and weekly summer camps and prices vary depending on selection.

Movement Creative Parkour Training: In Person

  • Parkour adventure summer camp runs from July 3 – September 1st, Monday-Friday, 9am – 3pm in Central Park or Prospect Park. Ages 7-18, all experience levels are welcome.
  • Sliding Scale Pricing Available, $440 – $1100 per week

Brooklyn Zoo: In Person Only

  • Mon – Fri 9am -4.30pm
  • $150 per day or $650 for a week

Williamsburg School of Music: In Person Only

  • Campers will form bands, work on a set, and play an outdoor concert at the end of the week! Along the way they’ll also get plenty of outdoor time, make merch, music videos and more. No experience necessary! For ages 4-13.
  • $675 per week or $125 per day

SpringLake Camp: In Person Day Camp

  • Ringwood New Jersey
  • Kids are taken by private bus from Manhattan to NJ Daily also bus pick up in NJ
  • Keeping the kids busy with every outdoor activity you could think of – swim, soccer, karate, lacrosse, dance,tennis,pottery, zip line etc A typical US camp experience!
  • Minimum 4 weeks – starting at $5695 for 4 weeks.
