It is with great pride and joy that I welcome you to our revamped AWNY website!
The experience of being an Australian (or Kiwi) woman living and working in NYC is often one of personal and professional development, a journey of self reflection and adventure. To reflect this, the AWNY website has been redesigned to better serve our growing community.
Our online presence is one of the ways that our community engages with us and our website is an important hub for showcasing the accomplishments and experiences of Australian women in NYC, as well as for sharing advice about all aspects of life in New York.
Through our new and improved website, we are excited to offer a range of content that resonates with members of the AWNY community, including:
- Events: Find out about upcoming AWNY events, events in review and the monthly What’s On roundup of other must-do NYC events.
- Life: Insider tips for all aspects of social life, travel, culture and parenting in NYC, updates from the Australian Mums and Dads in New York group and the experiences of Aussie women living in NYC in Faces of AWNY.
- Work: Read about successful Australian women entrepreneurs in NYC in Startup Stories and tips for working in NYC.
- About: Learn more about volunteer opportunities with AWNY, our charitable initiatives and how to sign up for our Meet and Greet program, which connects new arrivals to NYC with experienced expats.

So settle back with a flat white and a lamington, and enjoy learning about the breadth and diversity of life as an Australian woman in NYC.
On a final note, it bears emphasizing that AWNY is run by volunteer committee members, many of whom were involved in our web upgrade project. The high caliber of the results was accomplished through the commitment and initiative of the project team, and I would like to thank them for their efforts.
If you have any feedback or comments about our upgraded website, or would like to volunteer for AWNY, please feel free to reach out to our Committee via awny@aaanyc.org.
