On August 7th, over 50 AWNY members and friends proudly supported Australian theater by witnessing Cate Blanchett’s stunning performance in “The Maids” – by Jean Genet and produced by the Sydney Theatre Company. Guests enjoyed a VIP experience with a pre-theater reception at the New York City Center, and to help set the scene, we received a personal welcome from the Sydney Theatre Company’s Executive Director – Patrick McIntyre.
