This Independence Day, New York City is lighting up the sky like never before, with Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will flip back to the East River! After a very brief stint on the Hudson last year, this year the fireworks will launch from barges along the promising a spectacular display visible from prime spots between 14th and 34th Street.

For an unforgettable view, head to the east side of Manhattan. Don’t miss out on waterfront views from spots like Transmitter Park in Greenpoint and Domino Park in Williamsburg across the river, or consider checking the recently opened East River Park.

Last year there were many last minute options hosted by nearby hotels. Bar Blondeau is getting in early with tickets on sale for their unique farm to table experience from 3pm onwards. Partnering with Natoora to transform their rooftop into an urban garden party with food stations featuring locally farmed vegetables and fresh harvested oysters.

Keep an eye on the Virgin Hotels NYC website for tickets to their firework viewing party which last year they hosted on their 38th floor, featuring DJ Select and pre-fireworks entertainment. While nearby buildings may partially obstruct visibility, the lively atmosphere and prime location ensure a memorable evening.
