AWNY’s October get-together, with a spooky twist
The temps are dropping, pumpkins are multiplying on stoops, and Trader Joe’s has unveiled their limited-edition pumpkin-flavored everything. These small but very tangible signs mark the beginning of the festive holiday season – kicked off by All Hallows’ Eve (aka, Halloween!).
To mark this fun time of the year (arguably the best season on the East Coast!), we’re calling all AWNY families for the AWNY Families Halloween Picnic: A Spooktacular Get-Together!
The bewitchingly fun day out will function as AWNY’s October get-together, with a delightful twist of an early Halloween celebration.

Put on your spookiest, silliest, or sweetest costumes, and join us for a day filled with joy, giggles, and some friendly ‘BOOs’! Here’s what’s brewing in our cauldron of fun:
- Costume Swap: Bring any old costumes and swap them out for something ‘new-to-you’— let’s keep things sustainable and exciting!
- Treat Share: Have a favorite Halloween treat? Bring a bit to share with the group—homemade goodies or store-bought snacks!
- Coffee Ahoy: Need a parent potion to keep up with the little monsters? We’ve got the coffee covered!
Let’s create a tapestry of memorable moments where our little ghouls can frolic and play, and parents can unwind and chat with fellow AWNY families!
