Easter marks Chinwag’s first anniversary. Thanks to technology AWNY’s Community committee (Robyn, Dawn, Susie and Deb) were able to host 16 virtual Chinwag events in one of the most turbulent years in history. Some of our community members have lived in New York for 20 or 30 years, while others are approaching the 10-year mark, and a good handful just got off the plane, so to speak. One thing is for sure, there’s no discounting how great it is to hear an Aussie accent, share our New York stories, catch up on news from home, and have a laugh or two over a cuppa. AWNY’s Community team is stronger for the connections we’ve built and we hope you’ll join us on Saturday, April 3rd, to celebrate our first anniversary.
