Even though we’re living abroad and may not receive the day off for ANZAC Day, New York still has some wonderful opportunities to come together with fellow Aussies and Kiwis and take a moment to commemorate this very important day.
The Australian & New Zealand Consulates-General in New York will host commemorative events together on April 25th.
This year’s ANZAC Day Dawn Service will be held at a new venue—Pier 86 at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, located at W 46th & 12th Ave in New York. This event, featuring the Cadets of West Point—The U.S. Military Academy, will take place on Tuesday, 25 April 2023, with an arrival time of 5:30 am for a 5:45 am start.
Civilian attendees are asked to wear respectful attire and come prepared for cold or inclement weather. Military attendees are requested to wear service dress or equivalent with medals. For security purposes, all guests must go through screening and have their bags inspected before entering the Pier. Free to attend, but please REGISTER HERE.
ANZAC Day Church Service at the Trinity Church Wall Street (89 Broadway). The service will begin at 10.45 am, and attendees are asked to arrive by 10.30 am. The highlight of the event will be a special performance by the renowned Australian Chamber Orchestra. Don’t miss this opportunity to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. Free to attend, but please REGISTER HERE.
